Description

Unique architectural design of a giant solar drying structure. The structural unit has three levels of drying layers accessible by conveyor system. A deep well solar water pumping technology is also integrated in the system for cleaning fruits & herbs and for cleansing the drying surfaces.

Impact

In many communities around me, there are a lot of fruits, medicinal plants leave, roots, and flowers which bloom and are in abundance at a certain period overwhelming the community’s consumption. Hence, just about 40 percent can be effectively used as fresh but, 60 percent get rotten and wasted thereafter. Here, i feel that the solar drying technology in the form of the hybrid technology of integrating architectural satin glazed aluminum structure, with solar electric heat pump, solar water pumping technology for products cleaning and the drying chambers cleansing and eventually belt conveyor inclusion for delivering the materials to the drying chambers can be very effective. The sole reason for application of this technology is to turn the 60% of the potential waste into a preserved value-added products for the communities' economic survival. This venture is intended to help the extensive peasant communities spread out in the villages, the peasant farming groups and the cooperatives. Tropical fruits are in abundance at certain period for communities around but, very scarce for communities outside the tropics. It is my passion that the communities who lack should also have a share. To share it means, the 60% which falls out as waste can be preserved by the hybrid technology of JOMIGO innovation.

Target Audience

The main beneficiaries of this innovation are: Peasant farming groups, Cooperatives and consumers in urbuan communities and outside countries not in the tropics.
