Smart pest control device

Agriculture Climate & Environment Pilot
Description

The device uses real time temperature and humidity data to detect environmental conditions ideal for pest activity. It then automatically activates its dual lure system of blue UV light (wavelength 340 - 420 nm) to attract and disrupt reproductive and visual system pests such as moths, beetles, and cranberry fruit worms at peak pest hours (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM and dawn 4:30AM to 6:30AM), and aggregation pheromone drowning pests in an infused water basin without farmer’s direct involvement, reducing reliance on chemical pesticides. Additionally, its GSM based alert system and remote dashboard monitoring provide enhanced security and data driven insights. This makes our solution not only environmentally friendly but also uniquely autonomous, precise, and user friendly

Impact

The device replaces multiple seasonal costly chemical sprays with a one time investment, traps over 85% of harmful pest species which destroys most vegetables and fruits hence improving crop yield and encouraging more farmers into the vegetable and fruit production. Over 90% reduction in the use and misuse of chemical pest control method hence restoring and conserving beneficial insects like bees and lady birds which are important in flower pollinations, conserving. beneficial insect in the soil and water Removes health risks from chemical exposure, enabling safe, chemical free produce directly from garden to table. Enables farmers and refugees to save money, time and labor cost and can use can focus on other household responsibilities.
