Hybrid egg incubator
Description
My innovation is a hybrid egg incubator that is both solar-powered and hydro- powered, AI-assisted poultry incubation and brooding system designed for smallholder farmers. It combines local manufacturing, smart sensors, and renewable energy to ensure efficient hatching even in off-grid areas. The model is supported by community demonstration farms, providing hands-on farmer training, data-driven management, and sustainable poultry production.
Impact
The innovation improves income, food security, and employment for smallholder farmers by increasing hatch rates, reducing losses, and lowering production costs. It creates local manufacturing and distribution jobs, empowers women and youth through training and entrepreneurship, and strengthens community resilience by promoting sustainable, climate-smart poultry farming practices.
