POLLINATO.

Agriculture Climate & Environment Prototype
Description

POLLINATO Project empowers refugees and host community youth and women to earn income through modern, eco-friendly beekeeping. The project combines traditional methods with simple digital tools to monitor hives, improve honey quality, and track production. It also trains participants in making value-added products like beeswax soap and propolis balm. This approach promotes green jobs, environmental protection, and self-reliance.

Impact

POLLINATO is creating green and sustainable livelihoods for refugees and host communities through modern beekeeping and value addition. The project will train 1,000 youth and women in advanced beekeeping technologies, establish a bee products collection and processing center, and support local beekeepers to adopt modern hive management practices. By planting 10,000 bee-friendly flowering trees, POLLINATO will enhance pollination, boost honey production, and contribute to environmental restoration. Together, these actions improve household incomes, promote entrepreneurship, and strengthen climate resilience in Kyaka II and neighboring communities.
