Description

TESIFA Sustainable Farm is an agro-ecological enterprise in western Uganda that uniquely integrates regenerative farming with a strategic B2B model. It supplies fresh poultry and eggs to local institutions and cross-border exporters, capitalizing on its proximity to tourist destinations and the DRC market. To scale its impact, TESIFA is raising funds to automate its poultry operation to 100,000 layers, enhance solar energy, and establish a cold storage and processing facility. This expansion will increase production, add value to its products, and solidify its role as a key supplier in a growing regional economy.

Impact

TESIFA's innovation generates significant social economic impact by strengthening local food security and building community resilience. It creates stable market opportunities for local farmers and provides nutritious food to institutions and cross-border markets. By leveraging its growth to increase production and efficiency, the farm fosters sustainable economic development within the western Uganda region and beyond
