Shea butter value chain
Description
DACE implements shea nut cold press machine for shea value chain. The machine helps shea and other oil seed (e.g. groundnuts, sunflower, soybeans, simsim and bellanite) farmers with market opportunity to access and sell the shea nuts they collected for processing and bulking, packaging, etc. The shea butter oil, cosmetics and other biproducts are sold locally, nationally and international markets in the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Sweden and Middle. This further improves household income and create employment opportunities and promote sustainable conservation of endangered shea tree species as well as promote climate mitigation measures in the long term.
