Description
Eco-Shoes Africa recycles discarded Shoes to produce artistic and eco-friendly once. 90% of of old Shoes in Uganda are thrown into the landfills causing environmental pollution since discarded shoes take over 3 decades to decompose, some of these shoes are burned causing air pollution and affecting peoples health when inhaled.
Impact
Our innovation creates livelihood opportunities through skill development, creation of employment opportunities and establishment of small scale businesses in the community. In addition, Eco-Shoes Africa protects health of the people and the environment. Our shoes protect the feet of school ongoing children protecting them from injuries and infections associated with walking barefoot.
