Description
I make organic refrigerators which do not use electricity under use of aluminum foil, ice blocks and cold charcoal. I found out that these electronic ones emit chlorofluorocarbons the deplete our ozone layer hence exposing us to UV Rays with there effects. It's also being used for preservation of vegetables,fruits and fish mainly by local traders in addition to those who store water in it. I also realized increased cases of water borne disease like typhoid among we school going children and found out out that most rural schools are taking unsafe water, so at first l learned how to make briquettes stoves and emphasized boiling water for drinking after teaching fellow students how to make the briquettes. So they complained that it takes longer for boiled water to cool, and that's how I innovated a fridge that does not use electricity . The refrigerator is eco friendly and has been approved at the National Schools Championship organized by Stanbic bank as one of the best innovations being ranked best from western region.
Impact
Reducing on the depletion of the ozone layer by CFCs from electric fridges Combatting water borne disease majorly typhoid, diarrhea and dysentery among the school going children. Creating employment opportunities to the youth because I will be in need of workers.
Target Audience
My country at large because ozone layer depletion is at a higher rate.
